Leaderboard display not loading on a TV

If a leaderboard display does not load on a TV, but other websites load successfully, the TV may be using an older browser that is not compatible with leaderboard displays.

Check the TV model

Find the following information:

  • TV manufacturer
  • TV model number
  • Approximate year of manufacture

If multiple TVs are affected, check whether they are the same model.

Determine whether the TV browser may be too old

Leaderboard displays require a modern browser.

Once you have the TV model number, search the manufacturer's specifications or support site to determine:

  • Whether the TV was released before 2016
  • Whether the TV uses browser technology from before 2016

TVs released before 2016 may be using a browser that is not compatible with leaderboard displays. In some cases, newer TVs may also use older browser technology.

Unlike computers, Smart TVs typically do not allow you to install modern browsers such as Chrome or Firefox. Browser updates are usually provided by the TV manufacturer and may no longer be available for older models.

Resolution

If the TV is using an older browser platform, use a device with a modern browser, such as:

  • A PC connected to the TV
  • A dedicated media device
  • A newer Smart TV
